Welcome to the sale of this lovely Bedford tipper truck.
This has been part of our personal collection for a few years, and we are now reluctantly parting with it as we really do not use it enough to keep it
in top condition - we have not done over 100 miles a year in the last 3 years which is a criminal waste.
It is always stored under cover.
The vehicle was restored some years ago to a very high standard, and has patinated nicely so she now looks really impressive.
The chassis is totally sound, and there is no visible structural rust in the cab. The paintwork was done some time before we got it, so any bodged nasties would
have come through by now.
Interior is in very tidy order, and all the instruments etc work.
Good twin rear tyres, albeit slightly perished in the walls, with virtually new ones on the front.
Two stage tipping ram that works fine.
Dropside body with top and bottom hinged tailgate. The sides has the correct metal edging on the tops, and the wooden floor is lined with steel. The back end
really does look like its just come out of the factory, and is totally correct in all respects.
Comes with a fitted tarpaulin if required
Twin rear tow hitches.
Four cylinder diesel engine starts easily without any heater.
She drives very nicely, with good clutch and gearbox and air-assisted brakes. Engine has just been rebuilt.
Steering is all good.
Appears to be all original and totally genuine throughout.
We have numerous documents with it: tax discs 1979-2008; maintenance schedules from 1979-1989; and various MOT's from 1975 onwards.
Overall a stunning vehicle (which is why we bought it) that would be a star attraction at any vintage vehicle gathering, and very useful for light haulage as well.
